Together We Dance Pt.1

w/ Luke Unabomber (Homoelectric) & Tim Lawrence (Lucky Cloud)

Noods Radio

Really excited to announce the first part of a new radio special I've been putting together! Recently I've been really inspired by the idea of community on the dance floor, how clubs and parties can bring together so many people in a joyful shared experience that connects us. So I've taken the time to speak to some of the UK's leading party hosts known for their open dancefloors and powerful communities to discuss some of the ideas and approaches behind their parties.

The conversations were so good that I've split it into two parts! Part one is broadcast next Tuesday featuring the incredible Luke Unabombers, founder of Homoelectric / Homobloc, and Tim Lawrence, author of Love Saves The Day and founder of Lucky Cloud.

An Hour For Sun Ra with Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Muprhy, Tina Edwards & Emnative

Noods Radio

On what of been Sun Ra’s 105th birthday, Noods radio asked me to create an anniversary show that highlights his galactic body of work and his truly creative soul. Rather than endlessly document his particular history biographically, instead I’m talking to key figures of the modern Jazz scene about what Sun Ra means to them and what his music can teach us about the current musical landscape. In a time of fragile political ambitions, the symbolic resurgence of jazz and the boom of digital music culture, how does Sun Ra’s emblematic psychedelia help us understand the way forward.

An Hour For Steve Reich w/Ceylan Goksel & Graham Dunning

Noods Radio

Minimalist pioneer Steve Reich's innovative compositions have impacted a wealth of genres and artists, creating a profound impact on the musical landscape of the 20th and 21st century. For his 83rd birthday, Noods radio have asked me to put together a special show focusing on the artists' groundbreaking work and presenting his compositions in a new light. I invited the wonderful Ceylan Goksel & Graham Dunning to respond to some of their favourite Reich compositions, breaking down the intricate details of some of his most inspiring compositions and discussing how they've influenced their own work. Hopefully by highlighting the incredible technique behind some of Reich's most influential works we can better understand how timeless and important his work in Minimalism is in 2019.
